A vehicle designed to allow you to get the most from the great outdoors, Discovery is a new type of caravan. Available in a choice of three lightweight layouts, these compact vehicles are easy to drive, easy to park and easy to store, thus providing you with the flexibility of use that will satisfy your appetite for adventure.

The Discovery D4-2 features the conventional two-berth end washroom layout, while the D4-3 boasts a new three-berth twin lounge configuration. The four-berth D4-4 is the largest of the three models and includes the popular rear fixed double bed and transverse end washroom combination. 

All three models are built using our patented Alu-Tech construction technology making them more robust, more durable and yet lighter than those manufactured using conventional methods to offer greater protection against the elements to keep you comfortable, safe and secure all year round. To date approaching 60,000 Bailey leisure vehicles have been built with this ground-breaking technology and are currently being used around the world.

The Discovery body shell also features a totally unique new exterior rear profile, which has been designed to be more aerodynamic to enhance towing stability and improve tow vehicle fuel economy. The lightweight construction also means these caravans can weigh as little as 884 kgs (MRO for D4-2 model) ensuring they remain accessible to a wider range of tow vehicle owners and younger drivers with restricted licenses.

Providing style as well as substance, this striking duo-Tone shell in a ‘Polar White’ and ‘Slate Grey’ GRP skin is complemented by graphite coloured TUV tested alloy wheels, the Bailey signature vertical opening front skylight, and a bold wrap around graphics scheme that help complete an exterior look that will ensure that you and your caravan will really stand out from the crowd.

Discovery really turns on the style inside too with a clean and contemporary look, featuring Bailey ‘Mendip Ash’, ‘Lana Grey’ and ‘Anthracite’ furniture finishes that will appeal to both new and existing caravanners. These are perfectly complemented by premium quality ‘Java’ soft furnishings, featuring a hardwearing fabric and sprung base cushions, to create a real home from home when you are away on your adventures.

All models are fitted with a fully specified Truma Combi heating system, which allows you to holiday no matter the time of year. This combined with the market-leading thermal characteristics of the Alu-Tech body shell makes Discovery a genuine all-weather vehicle, a fact confirmed with the achievement of the highest rating for thermal performance (Grade III Classification of EN1645-I) in rigorous cold chamber testing.

The compact exterior disguises spacious interiors, which include everything you will need for anything from a weekend break to an extended holiday. Models are supplied with well-specified kitchens, feature a Dometic 103 litre refrigerator plus a Thetford Triplex combination oven and grill with three burner hob, whilst cleverly designed washrooms include an on-board shower. In short, you will be totally self-contained.

A range of bespoke PRIMA accessories are also available to enhance your enjoyment of your new Discovery caravan. Foremost amongst these is an exclusive PRIMA wrap around air awning, which doubles your available living space making it an ideal accompaniment when you are on an extended holiday or you wish to invite extra guests along for the ride.
