Teesside Caravans Reveals New Look

Thornaby based business Teesside Caravans, has re-opened its doors after the Covid-19 lockdown to reveal a brand new, completely different showroom and facilities throughout the Dealership.

The Award Winning, new and used caravan dealership has been working on an extensive refurbishment of the business. The works included a complete renovation and extension to its Service Centre to provide an increase in work capacity and a light, bright glass entranceway with customer waiting area and sales office. This now leads into the exterior forecourt rather than the previous longer walkway. The accessory shop has been combined with the awning centre, again after feedback from customers and now provides a larger retail space. Impact on the environment was a major consideration with local construction and materials sourced, low energy lighting in main areas and movement activated in others. Daylight has been incorporated to best effect and materials recycled where possible.

Initially the most challenging part was managing the entire programme whilst maintaining a fully operational 7 day a week retail site. Work was completed in sections with measures such as out of hours and evening working to minimise noise and disruption to its customers.

Almost complete, the refurbishment was halted when the Covid-19 bombshell dropped. The last few elements had to wait as materials were not accessible, printers where closed and sub-contractors were furloughed due to the pandemic.

Since re-opening the business has seen a real upturn in trade as people choose to staycation UK. With many families and couples being completely new to caravanning, the ease of purchase, warranty provided and the wealth of experience delivered by the company is sure to appeal.
